An interesting link

This is a link to a landscape architecture firm called LATZ + PARTNER. I've only looked at the images so far. They are a firm interested in working with ex-industrial and waste sites. Some beautiful images here.

The Third Landscape

It was also at La VallĂ©e that the concept of the jardin en movement was born and developed as a general approach. It assumes that the garden and the gardener are totally interdependent, with the gardener keeping an attentive eye on the wandering of the plants and animals and insects that enter into the garden. He follows the “movement” of “traveling” plants like Digitalis, the Mulleins, Spurges and Hogweed, instead of confining them to “beds” which are traditionally employed to highlight flowering. This approach relativises the notions of plants and weeds, allowing everything present in the garden to play an equal role on producing a dense and richly overlapping whole on which each development is treated as an evolutionary “event.”

Wouldn't a lovely, healthy vegetable garden in every take away joint in town be a beautiful thing?
(Just planting a seed ... )

And the Germinator says. Forgive us our trespasses as we do NOT forgive those who trespass upon OUR beauty, and lead us into the temptation of becoming flower bombers. Delivered from evil, for thine is not this Kingdom nor power, nor glory, never, wherever, forever.
Ah Men, & Women.

Inaugural Post!!!

It was a dark, dark moon when The Germinators, a most handsome, attractive, intelligent, sexy and charismatic selection of our local community, performed their first clandestine operation two weeks ago. This anonymous group of Bombardiers bombed the Esplanade Hotel site, a derelict, cyclone fenced monstrosity, with balls of nefarious substances - namely clay, fertiliser and SEEDS. Lots of SEEDS - sunflowers, poppies, pumpkins, alyssum, chicory, parsley, rocket - so many different kinds of seeds that the lists goes on way too long for this post. (And I don't want yawns.) It was highly secretive operation and so the combatants, many of them local celebrities, had to mask up.

The after-party was even better (I am told). Lots of ideas about what name such a group subversive, attractive activists were tossed around:

"Guerrillas in the Midds!"
"The Inseminaters!"
"Tossers!"

It was also decided, over some moderate substance abuse and post-mortem excitement, that these activists would buy some cheap Russian or Burmese discarded tanks, with the aim of better distributing beautiful flowers to the fertile earth of ugly places.

Model aeroplanes and remote control four wheel drives, for reconnaissance and distribution purposes would also be employed.

Mrs Yin is currently in talks with the Burmese military. Every other (beautiful and highly intelligent) Germinator is now gainfully employed making mud pies in preparation for their next attack.
